Calling Us Home to the South Pacific
For nine months, my wife Kayleen and I called Vanuatu home while volunteering at a local school. Living among the Ni-Vanuatu people gave us a deep appreciation for the islands’ natural beauty, rich culture, and laid-back rhythm of daily life.
This gallery captures scenes from this amazing corner of the South Pacific: a traditional dugout canoe resting on the white-sand beach of Mota Lava, the refreshing cascade of Siri Falls, and stunning sunsets over our home island of Gaua as well as neighboring islands.
These photographs reflect the untouched tropical landscapes, vibrant skies, and peaceful moments that made Vanuatu such a special chapter in our lives. From remote beaches to lush waterfalls, the islands offered a daily reminder of nature’s tranquil beauty in the South Pacific.
